What I Wish I Had Known When I First Started to Code
One thing I wish I knew when I first started to code is how much of a software project involves figuring out what the customer wants. How do we deliver that to them? How do we get them to acknowledge, to understand what we've done? We explain that something took more time than we thought it was going to without sounding like we're trying to sell used cars. A lot of that stuff that I learned early on and was,I think, really surprising at the time in terms of just how much of the delivery of a real software project involves successful for things other than the ability to just code.
