Is Parallelism a Good Idea?
Henry: We've had parallelization on the primitives since version four. The one case where primitive level parallelism was extremely effective was for matrix multiplication. It's a lot of computation and it can be split into disjoint parts. That works very well. Henry: I'd like to ask Stephen Taylor, and if something like this has been considered for K, doesn't have this problem because every type of nesting is like boxes or enclosures and UPLG. He said that we mostly work with relatively simple data structures. Just lists of lists of lists.
