The Harms of Religion
On a large scale, religion harms in terms of wars, bigotry and persecution. Many people engage in these activities because of their religious views. The reality is that overall religion causes otherwise good people to take positions or actions which are hateful and harmful. They perform evil and the name of righteousness and believe they're better people for it. Historically religion has slaughtered millions, possibly billions.
