Sokka has prophetic dreams. It's one of his many magical powers that are covered extensively in the show Avatar. I feel like when I rewatched this episode, I wanted it to be very prophetic. The need for food gets him almost devoured by the storm. Underneath the geese, we see Iroh and Zuko on Zuko's big ship. Nothing's happening. We're going to be fine.
