Colonialism and Museums

The methods and by which they ended up in these museums are very grounded in a specific historical context, aren't they? I wonder if you could just talk about how issues like colonialism have shaped the collections that we now have in our museums. What's really important is to think that wherever you go in for example, in england. The local museum has egyptian bodies. We never really question why they're her but the reason they're here is acts of removal. Its displacement, and its often violent displacement. It's often looting. And so those bodies that we see in museums anywhere outside of egypt, they hve been removed.
