Convoy's Report on Fuel Economy in Heavy Duty Trucks
The International Energy Agency estimates that less than 1% of all heavy duty trucks registered in the US will be electric vehicles by 2021. The most commonly reported barrier to entry into electric or hydrogen truck market is the cost, according to Convoy's report. Nearly 70% of survey respondents are planning to make a new truck purchase within the next three years and over a third are considering purchasing an alternative fuel truck.
