The third type is this, if you present a hundred cases to judge x and judge y. The pattern of judgments that these two judges are going to have is different. It's not just the level, it's the order or the pattern of their decisions. And that what we call patronase and patronage, really reflects the fact that we are different people with different histories, different preferences,. Different experiences of what we've done right and done wrong, and different lessons we've learned. Because of this infinite variety in the people that we are, in the personalities that we have, in the histories that we've lived through, we are going to make different judgments when faced with the same evidence.
