Designers need to have a good grasp on all the different levers of y design. Good visual hierarchy allows you to command what content you want consumed first by the user. It's an insurance policy that makes you more tirable, as you get more experienced in the field. I never would have got where i was to day if i couldn't work my way round rapid iterations.
