John Brevake says there's nothing mystical going on here. At least not on this level. What it is that the using the example of water. Water does all sorts of things that hydrogen and oxygen independently do not do. Water, therefore, has causal power. Also, water has a repeatable pattern. And it is a pattern which is intelligible. In other words, the human mind can grasp this pattern. This is precisely the theory of forms of Aristotle. It is exactly the same theory just presented in from a modern scientific analysis.
