The Happiness Hack for Bicyclists
Gretchen's happiness hack: A way to basically save the life of a cyclist. When you are reaching for a car's door handle, either as a passenger or as the driver, you don't open it with your hand that's closest to it. You reach with your opposite hand. This forces you to kind of pivot your body, and you sort of naturally look over your shoulder. And that's how you can notice the incoming bikers. It seems like such a simple, elegant solution.
