Microsoft CEO Steve Balmer: The Big Harry Audacious Goal
I'm a big believer in the Jim Collins B-Hag, the big Harry Audacious goal. And Bill Gates put forth one of the great B-Hags of all time. He didn't have these audacious goals. They were really a series of small goals as opposed to throwing the Hail Mary. My guess is that Bill probably stepped back a little too much in providing that visionary overlay and kind of pointing to the mountain in the distance when Steve took over. That's a tough act to solve.
