McKenzie and the Quahades

McKenzie used scouts and other tribes to track the Quahades. The army was confused when they weren't attacked, only to realize that the warriors were stampedeing their horses. At midnight on the third day, Comanche's rode at full gout towards the sleeping army. They narrowly escaped by screaming and waving their blankets at the thousands of charging beasts.
