The Role of Indian Women in the Women's Suffrage Movement
In the last few years, there has been much more recognition of the role of women of indian origin who were involved in the british suffrage movement. This was helped by a back lash to the film suffragette, which came out in 15 where lots of commentators pointed out that women of color were not included in that film. There's very little understanding or discussion about the kind of campaigns for the vote before 19 forty seven. And you know, i think the film industry and the television industry in the in particular, has become, much more aware of, a representing this britain historically. On friday, we'll be talking about mediaeval monks.
