The Importance of a Mixed Cultural Environment
Do you have a vision? Have you established a vision? You want to make it out of the hood, but what exactly does that look like? Are your neighbors now multicultural? Are you in an upper class African American neighborhood? Right? I knew that when I moved to a different environment, it was important for me to be in a mixed cultural environment. Having access to quality food was hugely important to me because every time I got off my exit, there was a Popeyes and a Chick-fil-A and a Wendy's,. But there was no fresh market.
