The nine eunuchs, the pearl white emperors, who gave et a hundred, 30 years of peace and prosperity. As young men and princes, they lived as other men, taking wives and concubines and sirin heirs. But upon their assent, each surrendered his manhood, root and stem, so that he might devote himself entirely to the empire.
