The SEC's Accusation of Selling Unregistered Securities
Coinbase has been accused of selling Solana, which the SEC says is an unregistered security. It's kind of like the mutual fund share class debate, isn't it? You get nailed by the SEC or FINRA for selling a certain share class but what they don't do is criticize the fund industry for creating the share class in the first place. They're not accusing Coinbase of creating it. They're accusing them of selling it.
