Corruption as we see it to day has vac much formalized in its meaning. We tend to think of a moral corruption, which is something that crosses between the two. An act can be corrupt, but not illegal, for example, an and so really what we're trying to do with our researches are to think about how discussions about this in antiquity could help us understand modern times.
