Silicon Valley bank had a section that was very good at sponsoring conferences and events. That activity seemed to translate less to backing entrepreneurs of color and women entrepreneurs. Some of those that we talked to in the wake of the crisis said, "All my money was there, but it was sitting in a non interest bearing account"
