The Cognitive Blind Spot
A lot of people come to our field with this as a sore spot in their academic history, really feeling like they couldn't learn. A cognitive blind spot says that I'm not even aware of what I don't know. Confusion is just a fixation on having it clear all the time or lacking tolerance for chaos and uncertainty. If we could allow things to be a little less clear, maybe we'd be less confused.
