The war started to change Ukraine already in 2014, says Serhih Plocki. The issue of whether Ukraine should orient itself toward Russia and the West was resolved with the Russian takeover of the Crimea. Nation became clearly very much pro-European after that invasion. At no point in this war, any poll ever showed that there would be less than 75% of the Ukrainians that believed in victory.
