The hundred and fiftieth anniversary took place in 19 71. Greece was under a dictatorship, and the hunter embraced the anniversary. They saw themselves as a new revolution, continuing the work of the old one. The decision was taken fairly late in the day that there ought to be some kind of commemorations. But what there have been are more than the usual quantity of really excellent exhibitions.
