Women in Trade Unions
In 18 96, there are one point four million men in trade unions and a hundred and forty two thousand women. The police and prison officers were legally banned from joining a trade union as a result of the Second World War. That legal still is in place to day - absolutely. But over a period offf more than a hundred years, trade unionism now isn't about sor of, you know, men below ground in coal mines or in car factories or whatever.
