How Fast Do Radioactive Elements Decompose?
When it comes to radioactive elements, an important thing to consider is their half life. And i guess the faster something decays, the more risk it is immediately to you. One of the advantages of separating the fuel by the reprocessing process is to put the fishiing products which have shorter half lives in a repository. The big concern then, or the main concern when it comes to the waste are then these heavier actonined elements,. ecase they've got quite a a long half life, so they're a concern long into the future as well.
