I think if Mowin wanted to play then he was the right pick. A quick 30 or 40 from Moan at number eight is actually really quite crucial and England's tail is tended to get blown away by Australia in recent years again Moan hasn't batted against a Red Bull for a long time so we can't expect him to come out and bat like he was it is peak as a test cricketer but he's still clearly a good enough to play some cameos potentially something more substantial and have a real impact on the series. I mean the ashes is better for Moan Ali being in it obviously the fact that Jack Leach can’t play is awful for him
