Don't take college as an automatic pass to a career that allows you to pay back your student loans without going into dire financial straits. Most people aren't going to disenrich themselves intellectually when they got college. What study in college actually has a much greater impact on your earnings after you've finished than where you go to school. It's absolutely not the culture of college decision making to think of this as a financial trat off.
