The Importance of Sound Meditation in Music

In the early 70s Oliveres and her group, this ensemble she formed, did these sonic meditations. They met weekly for months and every meeting was intended to be different. Oliveros started teaching them in a class just called the EEG2 project. It's when she actually started using students' brains as they did it. But I think absolutely when meditators or yogis talk about their practice, they're talking about something totally different than what musicians do.
