How Hard Is It to Research in China Today?

In the 19 eighties, when i was able to do a fair amount of research on the period before 19 forty nine, it was easier to access libraries in china. It was easier to even access some of the archiva materials. And that, of course, in the current period of time, has become almost impossible. So there's a kind of flow ofer the last two or three decades when research sometimes was more feasible,. and other periods of time when it was just much more difficult in terms of access of materials. Again, a lot of these materials are actually outside of china, or have been collected outside of ch China.
