The Senegalese Media Reports Violence in Sphax
Violence and hate speech has exploded in the Tunisian city of Sphax. A group of masked men armed with sticks and stones began to beat men, women and children who were trying to get to Europe from Tunisia. Since then authorities have forcibly deported 1200 migrants from the city leaving them at the border to fend for themselves. The situation is dire as we heard from an Ivorian woman: "We haven't eaten for three days because we don't have any money"
