The Roman Empire Is a Bad Thing
Britain has a reputation for being one of the most troublesome provinces of the roman world. The emperor hadrian comes to power in one one seven a d and we are told by historians writing at that time that the britons could not be kept under control. There's no contemporary literary source surviving for britain. But the fact that britain is compared with the wars in judea suggests that something significant was happening here at the same time. It doesn't necessarily have to be north britainow north of what becomes hadrian's frontier, but i think the suggestion is somewhere between york and london.
