How the CIA Archives Become Public
MK Ultra was associated with the health alteration bureau, which I mentioned. From 1953 on, a man called Sydney Gottlieb was put in charge. It had its origins in the experiments by the Nazis and by the Japanese in mind control drugs. The American sort where we better match this facility, perhaps to use these drugs ourselves,. or if not perhaps to neutralize what the opposition is doing. And so they went ahead with that program - it became controversial.
