The Two Things Poets Hate the Most
Samwanades, poets whose ear of ingratitude forms in the womb of reason at least attacked me. He invented the thing you now call the commission. The other thing we hate is audiences who don't pay attention. It was not a good poem, if I say so myself, as good as the fee though,. And better than him who that day bought my praises, a man of so little virtue to sing of; he ended up fleshing it out with something at found in the drawer: a hymn from Leda's sons.
