How Many People Didn't Make Much in the Depression?
The national income in the united states was cut in half between 19 29 and 19 33. The best estimates we have of that is about 50 % of all human resources were either unutilized altogether, as unemployed or under utilized to te shorter working hours or reduced days. A even people who remained employed, i often saw their wages cut. It's almost impossible for us, i think, i shouldn't say almost impossible, but very difficult, to get our heads around the scale of this calamity, its depth and how long it lasted.
