The Golden Calf - Is This the God Who Delivered You Out of Egypt?

When aaron makes the golden calf, what do the pout of the people respond? The they are not acting as if they are turning away from the god who led them out of egypt to a different god. What they're saying is, this o israel, is the God who led you out of e Egyptian slavery. But that's idolatry. We we take good things and make them into ultimate things. Why? Because we're uncertain and we want to take control. I'm making a god that i can put away when i'm done with him, take him out when i need him. Think about this, how often do we treat god like that?
