The Disconnect Between Design Systems and Software Development
In 2014, I was running an agency and we were doing design systems work. We didn't even call it design systems work because we didn't know that. The idea of a design system as a software product is relatively new in the last decade or maybe 15 years. And so nowadays, you can say design system. But again, I don't think we're there yet because there are different kinds of design systems.
