The ranch was surrounded by a tall gate, secured to cameras and it was to be guarded 24-7. Members, especially little girls that didn't want to get married, would just disappear and be sent to the ranch for training. Some of them were as young as 12 years old. The authorities were shocked at how powerful and how massive the FLDS Church had become. Warren kind of saw it coming though. He was out in hiding most of the time but randomly he would sneak in to perform marriages.
