The Conflict of Interests in Trend Following

Traders are so used to putting all the negatives out there, I think sometimes I wonder, hold on, where are the positives? So I think when you say that trend following goes against where systematic trading goes against human nature. Most people make their allocations in the typical way in the last 20, 30 years and then they have a 50% drawdown because the buy and hold process melts down. There's a conflict of interest in proposing that that's the only strategy for an individual investor. And if you look at the industry performance, forget what we have done and it's irrelevant.
