What Happens When a Girl Calls 911?
Shannon was last seen at Oak Beach on May 1st of 2010. Her family doesn't even know she's missing until two days later when they get a phone call from Dr. Peter Hackett, who asks if her daughter is there or if she's still missing. When police asked Shannon for her location when she was on the phone with them, she said that she was at Jones Beach instead of Oak Beach. They're right near each other but far enough away to clearly throw off the dispatchers.
