Greenpieace's Solar Power Project in Darna, India

Greenpieace, that thought this was a great idea back in 20 14, decided to visit there. The day the villages solar electricity was turned on, the batteries were drained. When the village finally connected to the main power grid, which is overwhelmingly coal powered, villagers quickly drop their solar connections. Today, darna, india's a disused solar energy system is covered in thick dust, and the project site is a cattle shelter.
