Television and Its Effects on Satisfaction
Research tended to show that plays of any kind tended to fit into a perton of expectation for certain kinds of satisfaction. So people want, if they wanted to be entertained, they might be entertained by a play without quite realizing it was supposed to be a work of genius and studied intensively. The the egricultural a quality, so to speak, as determined by the the relevant aletes and experts, was really not relevant to a the great majority of television viewers who were just watching a play.
