The Disadvantages of the Ideal Consumerist Way of Living

I think that it's actually very difficult to dispense with the concepts of the human on one hand, the natural on the other. You have some problems with collapsing the distinction between humans and nature. So these are all generating quite a toxic environment for us. Part of my argument is to draw more attention to the downsides of the so-called ideal consumerist way of living as a background to thinking about how we should go beyond that.
