An analysis of the National U.S. Department of Education from 2015 to 2016, Silvera Istata found that black girls are five times more likely than white girls to be suspended at least once. Black girls also four times as likely as white girls to being arrested at school. The study was conducted by the National Women's Law Center and the Educational Trust or the Education Trust Fund.
