The Senate Passes Respect for Marriage Act

The Respect for Marriage Act was approved by a vote of 61 to 36 with support from all Democrats and 12 Republicans. The measure now heads back to the House for a final vote, which could happen as early as next Tuesday. It would then go to President Biden, who said he looks forward to signing it.
