The Importance of Vulnerability in Negotiations
Being vulnerable includes seeking to understand if you're on opposing sides, what the other side needs. And I think that's so important because we know generally speaking, we operate irrationally a lot of the time. In those situations where the negotiation is distributive, and there it is, an almost unavoidable win-lose type of positioning for the discussion, you can still use vulnerability to strengthen the relationship between the parties.
