Steve would sit you down and show you footage of Italian defenders like Maldini and Canavaro. That must have been mind blowing for a young footballer to watch them on film when they weren't available on television right back then. You could see how they read the game and look at your own footage and compare. And so I'm watching Maldini, watching Canavaro and then switching over to my film and you can just see that the attackers are dictating everything to me. They're running the line basically.
