Nightlife and the Curfew

The us. Federal government instituted a nation wide curfew on night life. The order required all places of entertainment to close at midnight. One texas newspaper described the country's reaction as the biggest howl since prohibition. It was intended to conserve fuel, man power and transportation for use in the war effort.
