In the early eighties, if you went into a video store, it was only horror and pawns. There's that amazing uchub clip of nick cage losing his shiphing. I totally channelled shelley deval, that sort of silent screaming. A lot of stuff came in from europe because they could get past censers. And so that's why video, initially, that's the whole verio nasty thing happened because of that. That's probably why we have the gee culture that we do now.
