Substack - It's All Advertising

Substack is a venture backed company, and that's not a problem. But at the end of the day, if you truly were trying to provide the best experience for craters, the ten per cent cut is going to become less and less competitive over time. As soon as you put your content behind a pay wall, your ability to grow is so much more limited. So i left substack at the beginning of 20 21 to try ghost and to try to go paid. That did not happen. The conversion process was ry very slow. It didn't make sense from a growth perspective. I think model almost has a couple of things that don't quite aline with one another
