I think it's a no-win situation, right? A lot of people feel pushed into trying to make their individual decisions about what tools they use. And personally, I killed my Instagram account a couple of years ago because I got tired of the idea that Mark Zuckerberg was getting all my data. On the other hand, I do have a TikTok account, which says about me that I am more concerned about Zuckerberg having my data than the Chinese government. We need to push these companies to business models that are respectful of us instead of treating us like the fodder for their secondary and tertiary sales to other people.
