The Dilemma of Her Ghost
When did you become aware of the fact that you were really depicting African women in a certain way? I suppose by the time I wrote my first place, the dilemma of her ghost, I knew that I was writing about women or writing women the way I knew them. So it wasn't a conscious decision.
