Why the Government Doesn't Want a Speedy Trial

The government never pushes for a speedy trial. Here's the reason they don't want a speedy trial: No one wants a speedy trial because a lot of people work in the government like to pace out their work. In one of the few areas of the federal government where the prosecutor and the defendant typically agree the defendant, the guy arrested or the woman arrested in the case doesn't want a quick trial either.
